League Notes:

Standard League Notes:

  • Format: Coed 3-pitch Softball. Pitch to your own team. 9 player defensive line-up
  • Game Length: All games are 90 minutes in length, with a cap of 7 innings
  • Gender Requirements: Teams must have 3 males and 3 females on the field at all times
  • Length of Season: This season is 14 weeks long (12 weeks of regular season)
  • Playoffs: Every team is guaranteed 2 weeks of playoffs, with the top 4 teams playing for the championship
  • Exclusion Dates: No exclusion dates
  • Skill Level: Teams are expected to be at a Recreational or Intermediate skill level
  • Jerseys: Teams are not required to have team jerseys, but we recommend teams wear matching shirts
  • Officials: Every game will be self-officiated, meaning players call their own fouls, outs, etc.
  • Rules: Please review the league rules online: https://www.trsl.ca/rules.php
  • Equipment: Teams will be required to put down a $150 equipment deposit for this league, which covers a set of real bases. The deposit will be returned at the end of the season, when the bases are returned to the league. Balls will also be provided, but teams will need to supply their own gloves and bats. Should any teams have their own bases please email us to refund your deposit (admin@trsl.ca)
  • Other: All registration fees are subject to HST. Your spot is not guaranteed until you have paid in full

Skill Level Breakdown:

  • Recreational: Most players will have basic skills, and some players may be playing in a Softball league for the first time
  • Intermediate: Most players have good skills, and most players have played Softball/Baseball/Hardball at some level
  • Competitive: Most players have very good skills, and most have played at Softball/Baseball/Hardball at a high level


There are no refunds for any reason after the registration deadline.

Convenience fees on credit card payments. When processing a refund for any reason (subject to our refund policy), the convenience fee will not be refunded (as it is not refunded by the credit card processor company on our end).

Location Notes:

Games will take place at various diamonds within the City of Toronto. Many of our diamonds are likely to be in the following areas of the city:

  • Keele & The 401 / Jane & Eglinton / Jane & Sheppard / Bloor & Windermere

We encourage team captains and individual players to let us know if they have any preference for specific diamonds or areas, and we will do our best to accommodate those preferences
